Frailty syndrome is a state of decreased homeostatic capacity against stress. It is an independent risk factor for subsequent mortality, institutionalization, multimorbidity, falls, incontinence, and immobility. Frailty people have a significantly reduced quality of life, as well as being the largest users of health care services.
